Kelvin Terminals has Achieved its ISO 45001 Recertification
We’re pleased to share that Kelvin Terminals, our latex tank terminal in the Netherlands, has been achieved its ISO 45001: 2018 Management System recertification. This accreditation provides an internationally recognised framework that aligns with our proactive approach to occupational health and safety. Kelvin Terminals is now one of only five tank terminals in the Netherlands to hold this certification.
The ISO 45001 certification replaces our previous British OHSAS 18001 Standard which emphasised the control of hazards, whereas the new certification takes a more vigilant, risk-avoidance approach. As part of the transition, a stronger culture of health and safety has been embedded into everyday operations based on a Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology.
The achievement of this ISO accreditation has called on the collective efforts of the Kelvin Terminals team throughout the year, with Astrid Hamelink taking the lead as the Prevention Officer, QHSE Team and Dangerous Goods Advisor. Stefan Naeije has supported the Dangerous Goods Advisor role, whilst Danielle van Arenthals and Robin Verhelst have been appointed First Aid Leaders. Other notable mentions include Davey de Brouwer and Remko Dane who trained the new operational employees.
Kelvin Terminals accommodates approximately 7,800 wet mT and offers just-in-time delivery through tank trucks, IBCs and drums to customers within the Benelux Union in under 24 hours, and the rest of Europe between 48 to 72 hours.
The facility forms part of the Forest Stewardship Council™ supply chain, with dedicated tank storage and full traceability from origin to the customer.
